Visit to Piaggio Museum, a set on Flickr.
On 27 July 2012 it was with great excitement that I got off the train in Pontederra, Italy to visit the Museum Piaggio, which had been a dream of mine ever since getting into Vespa Scooters.
I could see the Piaggio Factory as the train approached Pontederra and as my excitement grew, so did the sheer size of Piaggio in Pontederra.
Everything I had read about Italy's recovery after WWII on the back of a Vespa made sense.
The Museum itself is housed in a refurbished part of the original Vespa manufacturing plant and is an inviting, light filled and beautiful place to visit if you love Vespas, Apes, Gilera Motorcycles and to learn about the history and manufacture of an Italian design icon.
It was a wonderful day indeed and I was just overawed by the lineup of Scooters and Apes on show.
Hope you get some of the joy from these pics that I did with my visit.
Enjoy and let me know what you think.
